Project Overview
FedEE is a membership organisation for international HR law. Migrating legacy systems into a modular WordPress website was critical to the membership platform's success. I have provided design and development support to FedEE for over 8 years, transitioning and upgrading many legacy systems to WordPress and ensuring the service offering is feature rich and able to sustain the business objectives and requirements of the FedEE membership base.
Objectives
FedEE required migration of legacy systems to WordPress including membership management, payment processing and transferral of an extensive knowledge base of articles and resources.
What I did
The project was broken down into components that could be migrated to WordPress using bespoke plugins and custom content types. Content and related resources were migrated and optimised for ease of management within WordPress. I subsequently redesigned the website over multiple iterations using Bootstrap framework, integrating new features for members.
Results
The migration of FedEE.com to WordPress as the primary system used for both client facing brochure website and backend membership system has allowed FedEE to future proof their services and content in walled-garden that can be easily extended with new features and functionality to enhance the product offering for new and existing members.
